DAY 1 TO 5 – 138,1 km
In the last 5 days I have been here, in the woods, sometimes with people but most of the time alone. In some places the forest is so dense that Ican’t even see my feet. The sound of the forest comes from everywhere, from the sky, from the trees, from the vegetation… some animals run in front of me, some play by the trail. Sometimes I feel that something is watching me from among the vegetation, it could be something as small as a squirrel or as big as a bear, as inoffensive as a marmot or as dangerous as a mountain lion. To be honest I don’t care, I feel that I belong here and nothing is strange for me, I know, I really know, that in some previous life the woods were my home where I lived free and happy with my tribe, without greed, selfishness or bad feelings, there was just room for love. So I feel the forest will protect me while I am here, making me safe.
On my fifth day I saw two bears, I was alone, and the second one told me to not go so close, so I respected him and I went back a few steps and stayed looking at him for around 20 minutes, just me, him and our wild forest. Then a few people arrived and the circus began.
Day 1 – I touched the monument at the border and I swam alone naked in a lake in the wild; Day 2 – I got my trail name, thanks to my shirt, hat and tattoo, and from now on I am Juicy Fruit, no more Fábio; Day 3 – I saw a baby deer running in front of my tent while I was lying down inside looking at the rain falling; Day 4 – I saw two bears and I was alone; Day 5 – I took my first 2.5 minutes shower, 1$.
